Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, I came to the United States at a young age and lived in Washington State most of my life. I am proud of being an American citizen currently residing and being part of the Vero Beach, Florida art community.

I have loved art and drawing ever since I can remember. However, I did not pursue painting until 2010 when I retired from my position as a Senior Planner in southern Arizona and started taking drawing and painting classes.

My husband Tom and I spent our extended honeymoon (2017-2019) traveling throughout Southeast Asia and Australia.

This trip really expanded my artistic senses as I found Southeast Asia educational, fascinating and exotic; of particular interest was the variety of cultures and religions throughout the region, especially in Penang, Malaysia.  I drew a series of charcoal portraits of people from Southeast Asia.
